Biblical Mandate
  • Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace.

Purpose Statement
  • The Church Life Council exists to assist the Great Lakes Conference congregations in becoming the Spirit-led Body of Christ, by encouraging them to
    • Experience a growingl relationship with Jesus Christ
    • Engage in Kingdom ministry
    • Exist in harmony with one another and the world.

Cross Cultural Council

Biblical Mandate
  • The Spirit of the Lord is on me,
  • because He has anointed me to preach good news to the poor.
  • He has sent me
    • to proclaim freedom for the prisoners
    • and recovery of sight for the blind,
    • to release the oppressed,
    • to proclaim the year of the Lord's favor."

Focus
To provide ministry in Jesus' name through service.

Discipling Life Council

Biblical Mandate
  • So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord,
  • continue to live in him, rooted and built up in him,
  • strengthened in the faith as you were taught,
  • and overflowing with thankfulness.
  • Colossians 2:6-7(NIV)
Focus
To disciple individuals from spiritual birth towards spiritual maturity in the fullness of Christ.

Student and Pastor Life Council

Biblical Mandate
  • It was He who gave
    • some to be apostles,
    • some to be prophets,
    • some to be evangelists,
    • and some to be pastors and teachers,
  • to prepare God's people for works of service,
  • so that the body of Christ may be built up
  • until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature,
  • attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.

Focus
  • To work with persons who have responded to God's call,
  • pastors and churches for the purpose of growth and enrichment.
