Earl Mills grew up on a dairy farm next to the Civil War battlefield of Antietam in Maryland. He continued to farm after receiving his Dairy Science degree from the University of Maryland. In 1986, God called him away from farming and into vocational ministry. He attended Winebrenner Theological Seminary graduating with a Master of Divinity in 1990. Earl continued his education and received his Doctor of Ministry from Westminister Theological Seminary in Philadelphia in 2001. He continues to love studying and is an avid reader.
Earl has experience with various ministries and kinds of churches. For six years while farming he was lay pastor of a one-room rural church, the Pleasantville First Church of God. While at Winebrenner Seminary he was Director of Youth Ministry for the Churches of God denomination. After graduation, he became pastor of the Carrollton First Church of God which was at the hub of a small community. Most recently he was pastor of the Chambersburg First Church of God which was a very active growing multi-staff church with many ministry opportunities. Earl and his wife Kim, who both grew up in Churches of God churches, live in Findlay and have three adult children. Earl and Kim love to travel.
